I was born and raised in a little town just east of New Orleans called Chalmette in St. Bernard Parish. My house was just a 15 minute ride to the French Quarter, yet it felt like I lived out in the boonies. The culture of the city was VERY different than what I grew up in. I always felt like I was different from most people in my home town because I wanted to explore the rest of the world. I moved to Houston at 20 and back to the New Orleans area 2 years later.
