What is groovr?
groovr is a cool new platform allowing you to stay in touch and share content amongs friends, straight from your cellphone! groovr also protects your privacy by never showing your phone number, or e-mail address when you communicate with groovr users from your phone.

What's a Shoutout?
Shoutouts short messages about anything you're doing, or thinking that are broadcast to all of your friends. Shoutouts let you create on-the-fly Chat rooms with your friends about anything you want to broadcast to each other.
How does it work?
When you send a Shoutout, Photo, or Video from your phone, it will go to all of your friends who have devices listening. You will see your friends responses instantly through your mobile device, creating Virtual Chat Rooms! If you don't want to receive updates to your mobile device, you can simply turn off your receive settings through your Dashboard Phone Settings.
What do I need to join?
Anyone with a computer or a web-enabled mobile phone or camera phone can sign up to our service. You can send photos, videos, and shoutouts from your computer, your mobile phone, or your iPhone.
If your camera phone can send e-mail, you can send Pictures, Videos, and Shoutouts to groovr.
How much does it cost?
groovr is free to use, and open for anyone to join. There are no fees for joining groovr. If you use groovr through your mobile phone, there may be costs associated with data usage and SMS/E-Mail – contact your service provider if you have any questions before using our service.
Does it work everywhere?
groovr currently works anywhere on planet earth. Future versions may expand our offering.
How do I send Photos and Videos?
Once you have signed up to groovr, you can send Photos or Videos from your mobile device simply by sending them to go@groovr.com. You can also upload Photos and Videos and send Shoutouts from the groovr website once you have signed up for an account.
What kind of phone do I need?
Most phones can send e-mail if you have a data plan with your service provider. Generally the easiest way to send from your phone to groovr is to add a new contact and set the e-mail address of the new contact to go@groovr.com. Once you have done this, you can simply send text messages, or send photos and videos, to the new groovr contact you have created.
Who can see my phone number?
groovr never shares your phone number with anyone. We proxy all messages to and from your phone so that nobody can ever see your phone number.
How can my friends send stuff to my phone?
Every user gets their own username@groovr.com email address that will forward messages to their phone. Don't be alarmed though, only people you've explicitly allowed can send to your phone. You can allow all of your friends, or only your Circle of Trust
What is a Circle of Trust
Your Circle of Trust allows you to separate your friends into your "online friends" and people you really trust. You can set your permissions so that you only receive updates form your Circle of Trust, and any messages other people send you will not come to your phone. You can visit your Dashboard Privacy page to change your Privacy Settings.
How do I add Friends?
You can add friends by clicking on Send Invite while viewing any particular user's profile. Additionally you can also invite friends by importing your contacts from Yahoo Mail, Gmail, Hotmail, AOL, Microsoft Outlook, and others through your Dashboard Friends Settings.
How do I add Friends to Circle of Trust?
You can add and remove friends from your Circle of Trust from your Dashboard Circle Settings. Simply click on the user icons to move users in to, and out of your Circle of Trust.
